Udupi's Christan Almeida appointed national coordinator of NSUI from Karnataka

Udupi, Sep 20: Christan Almeida, a prominent youth leader from Udupi district, has been appointed as the national coordinator for the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) representing Karnataka.

Almeida previously served as the president of the NSUI Udupi district wing, where he led various student-centered initiatives. He was also the president of the ICYM Mudarangadi unit and served as the booth president of Mudarangadi.

Under Almeida’s leadership, the NSUI Udupi unit played a key role in launching protests against the exit scheme introduced by VTU. Almeida even filed a petition in the Karnataka high court regarding the issue. His consistent efforts in advocating for student rights have made a significant impact.

This is Almeida's second time in the role, having previously held the position of national coordinator for Karnataka in 2020.
