Srinivas College of Pharmacy organizes seminar on ‘National Pharmacovigilance week-2024’

Mangaluru, Sep 20: Pharmacy council of India, New Delhi & Srinivas College of pharmacy, Valachil, in association with Indian Pharmaceutical Association, DK District local branch organized a seminar on National Pharmacovigilance Week-2024 with theme: 'Building ADR Reporting Culture for Patient Safety' on September 20.

Dr A R Shabaraya, principal Srinivas College of Pharmacy and president, Indian Pharmaceutical Association, DK District local branch, inaugurated the seminar by lighting the lamp and called the students to take active participation in observing health care awareness events know its concepts and awake the community effectively by distributing health awareness leaflets.

Resource person, Dr Pooja Gopal Poojari, associate professor, department of pharmacy practice, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, gave a talk on awareness regarding metabolic adverse effects of second-generation antipsychotics.

More than 200 delegates had participated in the awareness programme. Information leaflets were distributed about the event observed. Kavyashree of V Pharm D anchored the programme.

Dr Dhanya Bappanad, assistant professor, SCP proposed vote of thanks.
