Mysuru: Sapient College collaboration with Alliance University holds INNOSPARK-2024 management fest

Mysuru, Sep 23: Sapient College, in collaboration with Alliance University, Bengaluru, organized the INNOSPARK-2024 management fest at the Sapient College Canopus. Over 280 students from 20 colleges in and around Mysuru participated.

The event began with an inauguration ceremony featuring Dr V J Byra Reddy, dean of academic affairs at Alliance University, as the chief guest, along with Dr Sujatha Bopanna, dean of Sapient College, Dr K Ganesh, principal of Sapient College, and Dr Ketan Suresh, assistant professor and founder of the Beyond Books Organization.

Students from over 20 colleges in and around Mysuru participated in the event. The day began with an ice-breaking session organized by Alliance University, followed by a team-building activity. Subsequently, the participants were divided into six teams, focusing on various roles: CEO for best manager, CFO for finance, COO for marketing, human resource management, risk analyst, and photography.

A panel discussion followed, featuring Dr Chaitra Narayan, director of Kodagu Agritech Private Limited, Mysuru, as the guest of honor. The panelists included Dr Dharma Prasad, CEO and chief scientist at Boiconformatics Private Limited; Dr Thangam Ravichandra Singh, associate professor at Alliance University; and Kashyap Prasad, vice president of finance at BHIVE Workspace. The event included a fashion show with participation from students of both Alliance University and Sapient College. Ankita Amar, an actress known for her role in Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali, and designer Yashaswini Vishal attended the show.

The competition results were as follows: In photography, Amith K from Sheshadhripuram Degree College won, with Sneha P from Sapient College as the runner-up. In risk analysis, K Rahmath Zohra and Kunal from Trinity College won, with Darshan S and Preetham S from GSSS as runners-up. In marketing (COO), Sangeetha U and Shivani Aradhya from Trinity College won, with Sandhya C R and Nikitha H L from Maharani Women’s College as runners-up. In human resource management, Rahul and Sina Kami from Amrita College won, with Muwaffiqua Khanum and Anillia Vegiliawaz from Trinity College as runners-up. In the finance event, Pranav and Shaakunthala from Amrita College won, with Bhoomika and Jayashree from Trinity College as runners-up. Niharika from GSSS won Best CEO, with Manaswini from Sapient College as the runner-up. Trinity College was declared the overall winner.

Surekha Shetty, registrar-general at Alliance University, presided over the valedictory function, where she presented the awards to the winners of the various competitions. She expressed her appreciation for the dedication shown by the students and emphasized the importance of such events in fostering skill development and collaboration among future leaders. INNOSPARK-2024 provided a platform for students to showcase their skills across management fields.
