Mangaluru, Sep 23: The Navyarambh PG induction programme Inaugural Session took place on September 18 in the YMK Auditorium Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management (YIASCM), Kulur campus. The session was expertly moderated by Chaithra Koppala, faculty of MCA, YIASCM.

The programme commenced with a prayer to Almighty, setting a positive tone for the day. The chief guest, Dr B Sai Giridhar, former vice chancellor of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Puttaparthi, was warmly welcomed by Dr Namratha S, the professor and PG coordinator for MBA YIASCM.
In his address, Dr Giridhar emphasized the importance of self-effort and skill enhancement as key drivers for success. He underscored the necessity of integrity, urging students to uphold high ethical standards throughout their academic journey.
Dr Gururaja H, principal of Yenepoya Ayurveda College (Deemed to be University), was the guest of honour. He was introduced by Mervin Jaison Vaz, HOD of Hospitality Science YIASCM. Dr Gururaja spoke passionately about the importance of perseverance, punctuality, and finding job in one’s pursuits.
The presidential address was delivered by Dr Arun A Bhagwath, principal and dean of the faculty of science YIASCM. He highlighted the concept of ‘Digital Immortality’ and the significance of the ‘YouTwo Interface,’ encouraging students to embrace digital advancements in their academic and professional lives.
The session was graced by Dr Shareena P vice principal and dean faculty of commerce and management, Dr Jeevan Raj vice principal and Narayan Sukumar A vice principal, YIASCM.
The students were also awarded for their achievements.
The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Vasudeva Shenoy from the faculty of the computer science department YIASCM, acknowledging the contributions of all speakers and the participation of students.
This inaugural session not only set the tone for the academic year but also inspired our students to engage fully in their educational journey and the vibrant community around them.
