Jogi Asks Advani to Reveal Yatra Expenditure

Raipur, Nov 24 (IANS): Senior Congress leader Ajit Jogi Thursday said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran L.K. Advani should make public the total expenditure incurred on his 40-day Jan Chetna Yatra that concluded Nov 20 in the national capital.

"Advani's Jan Chetna Yatra was in controversy right from the beginning, I demand that he should make public the total expenditure incurred on the trip," Jogi said in a statement.

Referring to Advani's roadshow against corruption, the former Chhattisgarh chief minister claimed that he had been allowed by the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh to "go on an `India tour' on the condition he gives up claims for the prime minister's post".

Jogi also criticised Advani for not condemning in his public meetings in Chhattisgarh the killings of six state policemen by Maoist guerrillas when he was in the state on Nov 22.
