Doha, Sep 27: Tulukoota Qatar has achieved a remarkable milestone by lifting four trophies at the recent Indoor Throwball Tournament, organized by Astrokes Sports Center at Hamilton International School Qatar. The Tulukoota women's team has maintained an unbeaten streak for 8 consecutive years, while the men's team have been champions in all the Men’s Throwball tournament held till date in Qatar. This event marked a historic moment for Tulukoota, coinciding with the celebration of its 25th anniversary.
A total of 11 women’s teams and 9 men’s teams participated in this prestigious tournament.
In a thrilling display of talent and teamwork, the results were as follows:
• Women’s Tulukoota Team 2 emerged as champions
• Women’s Tulukoota Team 1 secured the 3rd place trophy
• Men’s Tulukoota Team 2 claimed the title of champions
• Men’s Tulukoota Team 1 secured the 3rd place trophy.
In addition to the team achievements, several players received individual honours for their outstanding performances:
• Muriel Merlyn was awarded player of the tournament, while Indira Kunder was honoured as the best smasher in the women’s category.
• Ahmad Ansar received the title of player of the tournament, and Mohammed Niyaz was recognized as the best smasher in the men’s category.

President Sandesh Anand, along with advisors, the management committee, and hundreds of volunteers, provided invaluable support throughout the tournament, contributing to this triumphant achievement.
In an impressive initiative, Tulukoota featured its name in Tulu Lipi on all sports jerseys during the tournament, earning widespread praise for promoting the language.
