New Delhi, Nov 26 (IANS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches at residential and official premises of an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer in Delhi and Bangalore in a disproportionate assets case, an official said Saturday.
"Searches were conducted at four places in New Delhi and Bangalore yesterday (Friday)," CBI spokesperson Dharini Mishra said here.
The raids were conducted after the CBI registered a case against the 2000 batch IAS officer K. Dhanalakshmy, who is currently posted as director in the social justice ministry, for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to her income. She is from the Uttar Pradesh cadre.
The documents seized during the searches were under scrutiny, Mishra added.
She allegedly acquired assets to the tune of Rs.3.15 crore in her name as well as in her mother's name, the official said.
