IMD issues yellow alert for Goa, predicts thunderstorms and rain until Oct 6

Panaji, Oct 1: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for October 1 in Goa, warning of possible thunderstorms and lightning in isolated areas throughout the day. Light rainfall is expected to continue until October 6.

The IMD also forecasts cloudy skies over the next 48 hours, with maximum temperatures around 33°C and minimum temperatures near 25°C.

According to meteorologist and retired NIO scientist M R Ramesh Kumar, the monsoon is likely to withdraw from Goa in the first or second week of October.
