Mangaluru, Oct 3: St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, is set to host the national-level inter-collegiate IT and management fest, ‘Agnesia 2K24’, on Thursday, October 3, and Friday, October 4, at the St Agnes campus.
The department of computer applications (MCA) will present its IT fest for PG students under the theme Aavirbhav, while the department of business administration (MBA) will host its management fest for UG and PG students under the theme Euphoria. Several exciting events are planned, with colleges competing across both streams.
The chief guest for the inaugural ceremony is Walter Nandalike, founder of Daijiworld media, and the guest of honour is Ashok Shrestha, retired portfolio director at GE Renewable Energy.
St Agnes College, established in 1921, is the first Catholic women’s college in South India and the second in the country. The St Agnes Centre for Postgraduate Studies and Research was established in 2008. In a progressive move toward integrated education, the college admitted male students in the academic year 2022-23. St Agnes College holds the distinction of being the first institution under Mangalore University to be re-accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade, CGPA 3.65/4, in its fourth cycle.

The staff coordinators for the fest are Sr Dr M Vinora AC, PG coordinator, Panchajanyeshwari, HOD of the MCA department, and Sheryl Preethika, HOD of the MBA department. The student coordinators are Vaishnavi Shenoy, Karthik K R, Kshama V Bangera, and Vinston Joy Menezes.
