Mangaluru Oct 4: Shri Eesha Vittaladasa Swamiji, Sri Kshetra Kemaru along with MLA Mangaluru North MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty inaugurated new college campus of Trisha here at Vidyarthi grama, Ganesh Bagh layout Bangra Kulur on Friday October 4.
Shri Eesha Vittaladasa Swamiji, Sri Kshetra Kemaru blessed the new college campus and also unveiled the plaque.

The Trisha Group, known for providing comprehensive education that fosters the holistic development of students in the competitive landscape of modern education, has completed 26 years. Established in Udupi on August 10, 1998, by Gopalakrishna Bhat with just five students, the institution initially began as ‘Focus Classes’, offering PU commerce tuition, BCom, BBA coaching, and MBA entrance exam preparation. In 1999, it was renamed ‘Trisha Classes’. The name ‘Trishe’, meaning ‘thirst’, reflects the organization's mission to quench the thirst for knowledge. The institution has continued its journey with the guiding principle: ‘Our Mission: Quality Education’.
Professional Coaching Education
In 2003, Trisha began offering CA (Chartered Accountancy) coaching, and in the same year, student Lakshmi Kiran secured an All India Rank in the CA intermediate batch. Over the years, Trisha continued to produce top ranks in various batches, establishing itself as a household name for CA and CS (Company Secretary) coaching. The institution gained national recognition and became the preferred choice for students in undivided Dakshina Kannada.
The Mangaluru Branch: Inspired by a Student’s Question
In 2006, during a seminar at a college in Mangaluru, a student highlighted the lack of coaching facilities, prompting Gopalakrishna Bhat to announce the launch of coaching classes in December. Staying true to his word, he started classes in a small 300 sq ft space in Mannagudda with 10 students. In 2012, the Mangaluru branch relocated from Mannagudda to Essel Towers near Bunts Hostel Circle, continuing its mission to provide quality education services.
Beginning of the Bengaluru Branch
In 2010, Trisha Classes launched its training services in NR Colony, Bengaluru. In 2016-17, K2 Learning, a Bengaluru-based organization, collaborated with Trisha to expand quality training to more students across Karnataka.
Student-Friendly Degree Education
During this time, there were no institutions that provided quality education for professional courses like CA and CS along with degree education. This forced student to travel to different cities, making it difficult to manage both coaching and college. Recognizing this gap, Shri Gopalakrishna Bhat, a chartered accountant himself, started a degree college to provide quality student-friendly education along with professional coaching. This initiative became a ray of hope for students and helped them achieve excellent results. In 2017, Trisha College of Commerce and Management (day & evening) was established in Alake, Mangaluru, offering BCom degrees, and the coaching classes continued there. In 2018, they also launched Trisha Vidya College in Udupi at Vasuki Towers, which later moved to a new building in Katapadi in 2020, providing modern facilities and quality education, including a BCA course. Trisha Evening College offers flexible options for students pursuing CA and CS courses alongside their degrees.
New Initiative in PU Education
In 2022, Trisha collaborated with the renowned Deeksha Institution and started Trisha Vidya Pre-University College in Katapadi in 2023. The college offers science options such as PCMB (physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology) and PCMCs (physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science) with CET, JEE, and NEET coaching. For commerce, options include BSBA, SEBA, and CsEBA, along with CA and CS coaching.
In 2024, in partnership with Sri Ramashrama PU College, a pre-university college was established at Yeyyadi in Mangaluru. This exclusive commerce campus, built on about six acres of green land, offers a serene environment with BSBA and SEBA combinations, along with CA and CS coaching. Trisha launched a unique initiative in 2024, offering PU education for just one rupee to students who scored over 615 marks in SSLC and scholarships for those who scored over 560 marks. The institution plans to offer IPMAT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) and CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) coaching in the coming years.
Trisha's New Milestone this Navaratri
In 2024, Trisha achieved another milestone in education. The new building of Trisha Degree College in Mangaluru, which had been operating from Alake, was relocated to Vidyarthi Grama, Ganesh Bagh Layout, Kottara, Bangra Kuloor, near Podar International School. The new college campus, built on 1.2 acres, was equipped with modern facilities and provided a student-friendly environment. The new building offered a conducive atmosphere for learning, experienced faculty, and hostel facilities. The campus planned to start a PU college for science and commerce streams the following year and introduce certificate courses related to the computer field.
Unique Features of Trisha Institution over the Past 26 years:

• Over 80,000 students have graduated from the institution.
• More than 200 CA foundation batches, 80+ intermediate batches, and 15 CA Final batches have been conducted.

• Partnerships with approximately 15 institutions to provide CA and CS coaching.
• Introduction of online classes for CA and CS courses this year.
• In the academic year 2024-25, we have delivered up to Rs 41 lac of scholarship to students.
