Beltangady: Fr L M Pinto Hospital, Badyar, organizes free general medical, blood donation camp

Beltangady, Oct 5: A free general medical health checkup camp and blood donation camp organized at Fr L M Pinto Hospital Badyar, is association with Father Muller Hospital Kankanady and Thumbay. Indian catholic youth Movement (ICYM) Beltangady deanery and Badyar unit, health commission Badyar unit also joined hands in this noble cause.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with a prayer song lead by hospital staff. Fr Praveen D’Souza, director ICYM Beltangady deanery in his inaugural address highlighted the importance of blood donation awareness and organizing medical camps in the rural areas. He thanked everyone for their initiatives in conducting these medical camps.

Fr Roshan Crasta, administrator of the Hospital and parish priest of Badyar church presided over the programme.

A total of 160 patients benefited from this camp and more than 60 registered for donating blood.

Sr Jyothsna BS, Dr Denzil Noronha, Dr Sowmya, Preetham Fernandes, Vinita Fernandes, Valerian Crasta, Babitha Moras, were present on the dais. Dr Joyston D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Babitha Moras proposed vote of thanks. Dr Shruthi Kiran compered the programme.
