Mangaluru: Car catches fire; mother, children rescued with help of locals

Mangaluru, Oct 7: A car caught fire accidentally in front of the market on the main road of Kinnigoli on Monday, October 7.

Jasmin, a resident of Damas Katte near Kinnigoli, had parked the car in front of the Kinnigoli market with another woman and two children when smoke started emerging from the vehicle.

The woman and the two children in the car screamed for help, and locals immediately gathered and rescued them from danger.

Local shop owner Raghavendra Prabhu, along with the help of nearby residents, used a fire extinguisher from a local petrol pump to douse the fire.
