Mumbai, Oct 13: The Sharannavaratri Durga Namaskara Pooja was performed with grandeur and devotion at the Mumbai branch of Udupi Shri Pejawar Math (Madhwa Bhavana) located in Prabhath Colony, Santacruz East, as part of the annual celebrations.
The Pooja was led by Dr A S Rao of Poornaprajna Vidyapeeta Pratishtana Vishwastha Mandali, along with B R Gurumurthy and Avinash Shastry. Over 300 devotees participated in the ritual, which was conducted by the chief priest, Dr Ramadas Upadhyaya Renjala, who also manages the Pejawar Math.
Madhwesha Bhajana Mandali and other bhajan groups performed special bhajans in the presence of numerous devotees gathered in the sanctum sanctorum of Sri Krishna, under the blessings of Sri Vishwaprasannatheertha, the seer of Udupi Pejawar Math.
Following the main pooja, senior priest Ramadas Upadhyaya conducted the Durga Namaskara Pooja at the Shri Vishweshatheertha auditorium of the Math, offering prayers for the well-being of the world and seeking blessings from Durga Mata.
The event concluded with the support of the Pejawar Math’s manager, Hari Bhat Puttige, and priests Pavan Bhat Annigeri, Mukund Baitamangalkar, and other co-priests. The Math staff and devotees took special care in organizing the pooja.
