Youth collapses at work in Mangaluru, dies of cardiac arrest

Mangaluru, Oct 14: Ashok (33), an employee at a fast food center in Kuppepadavu, died after suffering a cardiac arrest while at work on Saturday.

Ashok, a resident of Karaya Maripadi in Puttur taluk, was working at the fast food outlet owned by his relative, Girish. On Saturday morning, Ashok began his usual work at the outlet when he experienced chest pain, which he did not take seriously. By the afternoon, he collapsed at the hotel.

He was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital and then transferred to another hospital in Moodbidri. However, he passed away en route.

Ashok is survived by his wife and their one-year-old child.
