Mangaluru: Yenepoya holds international conference on dental education

Mangaluru, Oct 14: The valedictory ceremony of the Virtual International Dental Education Conference 2.0 was held on the hybrid platform by the Yenepoya Dental Education Unit (YDEU) in association with Yenepoya Centre for faculty development on October 10. The welcome address was given by Dr Sanath Shetty, Scientific Committee chairman VIDYEN 2.0.

He also commended the efforts of the Scientific Committee members Dr Umme Amarah, Dr Anu Babu, Dr Vijay and organizing secretaries for meticulous planning and execution of the sessions where total of 100 presentations were done in 18 sessions.

The chief guest of the programme Dr U S Krishnanayak, principal AB Shetty institute of dental sciences, congratulated the efforts of unit and also reiterated that it is the need of the hour in dentistry to have such conferences and mentioned the efforts of the organizing secretary and other members.

Dr Laxminkanth Chatra, principal, Yenepoya Dental College delivered the presidential address and cited the published literature where students view points of the status and where they commented on clinical skill development, constructive feed and friendly environment fosters better learning experience. Dr Imran Pasha M, Dr Vidya Bhat organizing joint secretaries, Dr Sham S Bhat, dean faculty of dentistry, Dr Vinitha Boloor coordinator YDEU were present on the dais. Dr Juniad, organizing joint secretary, YDEU delivered the vote of thanks.

The master of ceremony for the programme were Dr Supriya and Dr Apoorva members of the Yenepoya Dental Education Unit.
