Mangaluru, Oct 14: Srinivas University's Institute of Aviation Studies proudly participated in a significant cultural and beach cleaning event organized by the Coast Guard District HQ (Karnataka) as part of the international coastal clean-up initiative ‘Sea the Change', the event was held at Panambur beach.
The students of the Institute of Aviation Studies showcased their talents through vibrant cultural performances, while also addressing the pressing global issue of marine pollution by joining 182 participants in a beach clean-up.
Working alongside other volunteers, removing waste and debris to restore the beauty of Panambur beach and also helped raise awareness about the harmful effects of pollution on the delicate marine ecosystem and emphasized the need to safeguard it. Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean of the Institute of Aviation Studies, along with faculty members, also joined the students in this meaningful initiative.
This event showcased the students dedication to both cultural expression and environmental conservation. By participating in both the artistic and practical aspects of the programme, they contributed to a holistic experience of education, action, and sustainability.
