Kundapur, Oct 15: The registration process for the Manipal Arogya Card 2024 has officially begun. “The intention of this card is to provide quality health services to the public under the visionary leadership of the late Dr. T.M.A. Pai. It offers comprehensive health benefits for all family members,” said Mohan Shetty, manager of the KMC Manipal marketing section, during a press conference at the local press club.
Shetty further explained, “The Manipal Health Card was launched in 2000 under the MAHE chancellor Dr. Ramdas Pai. It aims to deliver health services at affordable prices to the public. While this is challenging, it ensures access to discounted health services. Currently, it is available in 15 districts across Karnataka and serves lacs of people. In 2023, 360,000 members registered for this facility, highlighting its growing popularity.”
He detailed the benefits of the card, stating, “Cardholders receive a 50% reduction in consultation fees with specialists and super specialists, 25% off on diagnostic tests and laboratory examinations, 20% on radiology, outpatient services, and diabetic foot care, 100% coverage for dialysis, and a 10% discount on hospital medicines.”
Cardholders can avail themselves of these benefits at several locations, including KMC Manipal, Dr. T M A. Pai Hospital in Udupi, Dr. T M A Pai Rotary Hospital in Karkala, KMC Mangaluru, Attavara, Durga Sanjeevini Manipal Hospital in Kateel, Manipal Hospital in Goa, and the dental colleges in Manipal and Mangaluru.

Health cards were symbolically handed over to Nagaraja Rayappanamata, president of the Working Journalists’ Association of Kundapura, Ganesha Beejadi, secretary, and Lokesh Acharya Thekkatte, treasurer.
