Brahmavar Taluk physical education officer, Jagadish, lit the sports torch, inspired the athletes, and congratulated the organizers for the efficient arrangement.

Fr Rock D’Souza, head priest of Mount Rosary Church, in his inaugural note said, “We often criticize the country's achievements as inadequate by looking at the medal tally of events like the Olympics or any other sports competition. However, it is rare for parents, teachers, or society to encourage sports from a young age. The hundreds of athletes who have won prestigious honors such as Bharat Ratna, Khel Ratna, and Padma awards after building a bright future through sports should serve as role models for us. Our approach is often limited to scoring marks and securing jobs, but a successful future can also be built through sports achievements.”

Track and field events were held at the Milagres Educational Institutions' ground in Kallianpur, where the participants showcased their skills and won medals. The first-place winners were selected for the Taluk-level sports meet.

Sr Ancilla Roshni D’Mello, principal welcomed the gathering, Anitha, physical education teacher delivered the vote of thanks. Ashok Chitrapady mastered the ceremony.

Principal Milagres College Kalyanpura Dr Vincent Alva, Vijayakumar Shetty, Ashok K, Luke D’Souza, Rohitaksh, Prasanna Kumar, Nagaraj, and Rathna were present on the occasion.
