Udupi, Oct 15: The prize distribution ceremony for the ‘Chelva Krishna’ photo contest, organized by Daijiworld Udupi in collaboration with Kishoo Enterprises, took place at the Daijiworld Udupi Studio in Kadiyali on October 15.
The contest, held in celebration of Sri Krishna Janmashtami, featured two categories: 0-2 years and 2-5 years. Kishore Gonsalves, Managing Director of Kishoo Enterprises, presented the prizes to the winners.
Winners of the first, second, and third prizes received cash awards of Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000, and Rs 2,000, respectively, along with a trophy and certificate for each category. Consolation prize winners were awarded Rs 1,000 each, along with a trophy and certificate.
The parents of winner Dyuthi Bhat expressed their joy, stating, “I have been dressing up my daughter as Krishna for the past three years during Janmashtami. It’s wonderful to see the children in Krishna’s attire. This is her second time participating in the Daijiworld Udupi contest, and this year, she emerged as the winner.”
The parent of Dwanishree shared, “I have gone through various websites of Krishna costume contests. I have been interested in making her participate in these contests. I am happy that she won the prize, and it is really nice to see children dressing up as gods; looking at them gives us real happiness. I will surely try to make my daughter participate in these contests in the coming years.”
Himanshi Devadiga’s parents remarked, “This is the first time my daughter has participated in a Krishna costume contest, and she won a consolation prize, which encourages us to make more efforts and participate every year.”
Naveen added, “Even though my daughter won a consolation prize, it is a big achievement for us. Every parent dreams of their children achieving in various fields as they grow up; this is the first step for my daughter’s success.”
Pragathi S Putran served as the anchor for the ceremony, attended by Kevin Rodrigues, Manager of Daijiworld Udupi, and other staff members.
