Udupi, Oct 16: Niramaya College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences organized Orientation Day programme for the students of second batch of BSc nursing and allied health sciences at the Seminar Hall, Niramaya Institute of Health Sciences (NIHS), a unit of Sri Vishnumoorthy Hayavadana Swami Education Society, Innanje, Sri Sode Vadiraja Math,Udupi on October 14.
Sri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji, Shri Sode Vadiraja Math, Udupi presided over the programme, by lighting the lamp, blessed the occasion and shared the words of wisdom saying health is wealth and students must give importance to self-health and mankind.
Chief guest Dr Ravindranth Shanbhag, president of Human Rights Protection Foundation, Udupi, addressing the audience explained about the importance of student-teacher relationship, right to information and human rights protection.
Guest of honour Dr N Bhaskara Acharya, medical director Dr N R Acharya Memorial Hospital, Koteshwara conveyed that the health professionals should have patience to deal with patients.
