Mumbai, Oct 18: Ilesa The Voice of Ocean company is set to release a special traditional farming song titled Oral on October 20 at 8 pm via the Zoom digital platform. The song aims to inspire youth, who are increasingly abandoning agriculture for city-based jobs.

Oral is a unique tune traditionally sung by farmers during agricultural activities. It serves to alleviate the solitude of tilling the land and helps motivate the oxen by guiding their movements with rhythmic beats. The lyrics also resonate with human life.

Regionally pronounced as Uraal, Oral, or Ural, this traditional folk song has become rare as farming practices decline. To preserve this cultural heritage, renowned music director V Manohar and the Ilesa team have produced the song, highlighting both the grandeur of traditional agriculture and the pitfalls of modern chemical-based farming.

The song features vocals by Bengaluru's young singer Atmaram Alva. Actors Surendra Maarnadu, Yaksha artiste Vasudeva Maarnadu, Ramesh Shetty Panarottu, Sacchu Maarnad, and Ajesh Charmady appear in the video, with cinematography by Sandeep Moodbidri and editing by Gopal Patte.

Produced by Narendra Shetty and Sumana Shetty, a couple residing in Saudi Arabia, the song celebrates Tulunadu's cultural roots. The release will be hosted by Amarnath Rai, president of Bahrain Kannada Sangha, with special guests Bhaskar Sherigar of AATA, USA, and V Manohar. Ravi Hegde Hermunde will host the event.

Renowned Ilesa singer Rameshchandra has invited all to join the event at 8 pm via the Zoom link: https://zoom.us/ri/5340283988, using ID: 5340283988 and passcode: 0324. For more details, contact Ilesa media coordinator Vivek Mandekara at 9008242735.
