Mangaluru: Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil celebrates Valmiki Jayanthi

Mangaluru, Oct 21: The Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil celebrated Valmiki Jayanthi on October 17. The organization of the programme is arranged by the SC/ST/OBC cel of the college. The coordinator Sathish Kumar escorted dignitaries to the stage. K Dr Anant Kumar Kulkarni, HOD, department of mathematics, SIT, Mangaluru was the guest of honour of the function.

Dr Anant Kumar Kulkarni, a distinguished academician and guest for the event, delivered an inspiring speech. In his address, Dr Kulkarni emphasized the timeless relevance of Valmiki's teachings, particularly focusing on the values of righteousness, compassion, and leadership. He encouraged the students to draw inspiration from Valmiki’s life and works, applying those values to modern-day challenges.

The college administration expressed their commitment to continuing such events to promote cultural awareness among the students. Valmiki Jayanti serves as a reminder of India's rich literary and spiritual heritage, and the celebration at Srinivas Institute of Technology provided a meaningful opportunity for students to connect with this legacy.

Prof Sathish Kumar K was the coordinator of the programme. Principal Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, HOD’s and faculty members of various departments were present during the programme. Prof Shana Santosh welcomed the dignitaries and audience. Prof Dikshith delivered a vote of thanks and master of ceremony was done by Prof Shreya Shetty.
