Udupi, Oct 21: In a recent statement, Congress leader Prasad Raj Kanchan has strongly condemned the BJP-led central government, expressing concerns over the security of the nation. His remarks come in light of reports of Bangladeshi nationals allegedly residing in the coastal districts of Karnataka.
Kanchan criticized the BJP government, which has been in power for the past 11 years, particularly its handling of internal security through the Ministry of Home Affairs. He expressed deep disappointment, claiming that the government has failed to safeguard the interests and security of the Indian populace.
Referring to past accusations made by the BJP during Congress rule, Kanchan noted that the BJP had previously alleged that the Congress government was allowing citizens of neighboring countries to infiltrate India. He accused the BJP of misleading the public with these claims to gain power. Now, according to Kanchan, it is the BJP that is encouraging Bangladeshi nationals to settle in coastal districts of India.
He urged BJP leaders to stop mocking opposition party leaders and instead focus on advising their own ministers to take responsibility for governance and national security. His statement was made in an official press release.
