Puttur: Nandan Naik of St Philomena PU College qualifies for national level diving competition

Puttur, Oct 21: Nandan Naik of II PCMB 'B' participated and secured gold medal in high board event, 2 silver medals in 1m spring board and 3m spring board in the state level sports meet for pre-university students organized by the department of school education 2024 -25.

The competition was held in Bengaluru South, Halasuru on October 16. With this impressive performance, Nandan is qualified to the national level school game Federation of India diving competition scheduled from November 24 to 30 in Rajkot, Gujarat.

Nandan Naik is the proud son of Ravi Sampath Naik and Kshamitha R Naik. He is trained by Partha Varanashi, Niroop G R, Deekshith Rao, Rohith Prakash, Venkatesh and Vikas.

He is guided by Dr Elias Pinto and Rajesh Mooliya, physical education directors, St Philomena PU College, Puttur.

The correspondent, Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, Mai De Deus Educational Institutions and the principal, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, St Philomena PU College, Puttur extended their warm congratulations to Nandan on his outstanding achievement.
