Mangaluru: Father Muller College holds AHS course inauguration

Mangaluru, Oct 21: The inauguration ceremony for 2024-25 batch of AHS course was held on Monday, October 21, in the Father Muller Convention Centre.

Prof Prathijna Suhasini G R, principal, Mangala College of Allied Health Science, Mangaluru was the chief guest for the day. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, Fr Ajith B Menezes, administrator FMMC/FMCOAHS/FMCOP, Fr George Jeevan Sequira, administrator FMMCH, Dr Hilda D’Souza, principal FMCOAHS and Savitha B Kamath, first year AHS course coordinator graced the stage.

In all, 15 various allied courses were inaugurated, with the total strength of 230 students with a symbolic lighting of the lamp.

Dr Hilda D'Souza, principal, FMCOAHS, welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest.

Prof Pratijna Suhasini G R delivered the inaugural address and spoke on the opportunities in the field of different courses. Job opportunities, higher studies and importance of health care professionals in the medical field are abundant but the skill enhancement is the need if the hour, she said.

Fr George Jeevan Sequeira, administrator, FMMCH presented a memento to the chief guest.

Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho addressed the gathering informing them about campus discipline, ethics and academics. The college emphasizes on overall holistic growth of the students honing sports and talents that help develop a happier person, he said.

Savitha B Kamath, first year AHS class coordinator proposed a vote of thanks.

The programme concluded with the inaugural ceremony with the institution anthem.

Fr Ajith B Menezes, administrator, FMMCH/FMCOAHS/FMCOP spoke on campus life and hostel rules post the AHS course inauguration ceremony.

Later principal Dr Hilda D'Souza addressed the students on college discipline and university rules.
