Puttur: St Philomena PU College excels at district level sports meet

Puttur, Oct 23: Students of St Philomena PU College, showcased exceptional talent and dedication at the district level sports meet held at Alva's Pre-University College, Moodubidire. The sports meet was organized by the department of school education (Pre-University), DK, in collaboration with Alva's Pre-University College, Moodbidri on October 22. The event witnessed outstanding performances from the students.

Under the expert guidance of physical education directors Dr Elias Pinto and Rajesh Mooliya, the students secured notable victories. 

Ahijith K M (II HEPS) secured silver medal in javelin throw with a record of 52.74 mts and is qualified for the state level sports meet to be held at Tumkur from November 7 to 10.

Ashray N (II SCBA) bagged bronze medals in 4x 400 mts relay with a record of 3:49.2 sec and 400 mts hurdles with a record of 1:03.78 sec

Vinyas B P (I SEBA 'B') bagged bronze medal in 4x400mtr relay with a record of 3:49.2 sec. 

Rohan Bopanna A N (I ECBA) bagged bronze medal in 4x400mtr relay with a record of 3:49.2sec. 

The correspondent, Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, Mai De Deus Educational Institutions, and the principal, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, extended heartfelt congratulations to the students on their remarkable achievements.
