Education must for all for removal of inequality, says CM

Bengaluru, Oct 25: Chief minister Siddaramaiah, on Friday, underscored the importance of education for citing it will help in ending inequality and creation of a just society.

Inaugurating the Indoor Sports Stadium and first year BE course at the Dr B R Ambedkar Institute of Technology, he emphasised the need for inculcating humanitarian values.

Education is important especially for all those deprived of opportunities to come up in society, he said pointing out that Dr Ambedkar had worked for the upliftment of all downtrodden and exploited sections of society.

Siddaramaiah said equality and equal opportunities for all were essential if casteism was to be eradicated. Human beings must work for the welfare of all, he said.

The chief minister said the younger generation must give importance to gaining skill based education in order to tackle the unemployment problem.
