Mangaluru: Annual sports meet held at Expert Pre-University College

Mangaluru, Oct 26: The annual sports meet-2024 of Expert Pre-University College, Valachil, got kicked off with great enthusiasm. Amith Singh, IPS, inspector general of police, Western Range, inaugurated the event, inspiring students to dream big and contribute to nation-building. He emphasized that profession should not limit one's aspirations.

The highlight of the function was a vibrant and spectacular march-past by the participants from four houses: Curie, Einstein, Darwin, and Ramanujan.

Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman of Expert, presided over the event, encouraging students to participate in sports and draw life inspiration.

Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson, administered the oath to participants and wished them good luck.

The chief guest Amith Singh declared the event open by releasing balloons.

Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, the college principal, warmly welcomed dignitaries, while Vismitha (biology department) introduced the chief guest, and Nishatt Fatima (chemistry department) hosted the programme and proposed the vote of thanks. The day-long event featured various sports and games, fostering teamwork and camaraderie among students.
