Chamarajanagar, Oct 27: The Karnataka government's Shakti scheme, designed to offer women free bus travel, is facing serious allegations of misuse.

Reports claim that KSRTC conductors are giving free tickets to men while collecting full fares, even in the absence of women on the buses.

Passengers, including a group of engineering students traveling from Bedarapura to Chamarajanagar, have raised concerns about the conductors' actions. They reported that the conductor issued free tickets under the Shakti scheme after taking their full fare. When challenged, the conductor insisted he was also providing free tickets to other male passengers.

Outraged by the misconduct, the students have lodged a complaint with the traffic controller in Chamarajanagar, demanding accountability and action against the conductors involved.
