Mangaluru, Oct 28: The Expert PU College, Valachil, held its valedictory function for the annual sports meet 2024 this evening, celebrating the triumphs of its talented students. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed chief guest, Pradeep Kumar Acharya, International powerlifting champion and general manager at Kasharp Fitness.

Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group, presided over the function, while Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson, Expert Group, joined in felicitating the chief guest for his remarkable achievements.

In his inspiring address, Acharya shared his journey, highlighting the importance of perseverance and hard work. He urged the students to never lose hope, emphasizing that their efforts will ultimately yield rewarding outcomes.

The chief guest then presented prizes and trophies to the winners and champions in various events.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Sambhram Varnekar, president of the students council. Swathi V from the English department introduced the chief guest, while Dhruthi V Hegde from the chemistry department announced the names of the winners.

Narayana Kudva, head of the chemistry department, hosted the programme and proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, students, and staff for making the event a resounding success.
