Mangaluru: MRPL hosts HiQ retail dealers meet 2024

Mangaluru, Oct 28: Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd. (MRPL) hosted the HiQ Retail Dealers Meet at MERC, Mangaluru, as part of its "Vigilance Awareness Week" celebrations. This initiative aimed to engage retail partners and reinforce vigilance and transparency within MRPL's business ecosystem, providing a valuable platform for insights, discussions, and strengthening dealer relationships.

In his address, MD M Shyamprasad Kamath emphasised the importance of a customer-centric approach, underscoring that customer needs remain central to MRPL’s business strategy. Nandakumar V. Pillai, director – refinery, cited Mahatma Gandhi to highlight the importance of integrity in business practices. Ganesh S. Bhat, chief vigilance officer, discussed the challenges in the retail industry and outlined measures to address them effectively.

The event was attended by several senior leaders, including B H V Prasad, executive director – projects & marketing; B Sudarshan, executive director – refinery; Yogish Nayak S, chief financial officer; Krishna Hegde, group general manager – HR; and Dr Deepak Prabhakar, group general manager – marketing.

All 112 retail outlet dealers from Karnataka and Kerala were present. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a green welcome for dignitaries. Dr Deepak Prabhakar, GGM – Marketing, delivered the welcome address, and  Sivaram Krishnan, GM – Retail, provided an update on MRPL's retail marketing progress.

Top-performing dealers were honoured for their outstanding contributions, and new dealers were recognised for their exceptional debuts in sales. The event concluded with an open forum where dealers had the opportunity to share queries and suggestions.

Lakshmisha Rao, DGM – Retail Sales, delivered the vote of thanks, and Lekha skillfully compered the event.
