Udupi: Mount Rosary English School, science club organizes model exhibition

Udupi, Oct 30: Mount Rosary English School, Santhekatte, science club organized science model exhibition and an ancient artifacts exhibition.

Mansi Shet, alumnus of Mount Rosary English School and currently a lecturer at City Hospital inaugurated the exhibition in her inaugural note stated that, Today’s students are more interested in learning by doing rather than just listening. Many scientific models created by children, showcasing their creativity, have later evolved into real-life tools. Learning through personal experience brings joy to the mind.

Fr Oliver Nazareth, assistant parish priest presided over the event and expressed his appreciation for the History Club’s efforts in collecting and displaying the ancient tools used by our ancestors in coastal Tulunadu.

The exhibition showcased various old items like lamps, torches, coins, notes, grinding stones, sticks, utensils, and tools, attracting the interest of visitors. Students were fascinated by the items that people once used daily, including cooking tools, during times without electricity.

Sr Ancilla, principal expressed her appreciation for the exhibition.

Student Akshatha welcomed the gathering. Ashni D’Souza hosted the event. Srinidhi delivered the vote of thanks.

All science and social science teachers of the institution contributed to the event.
