Kundapur: One held for illegal transportation of deer meat, 2 escape

Kundapur, Oct 31: Forest personnel from the Siddapura wildlife zone arrested a man for illegally transporting deer meat on a motorcycle, while two accomplices fled the scene.

The arrested individual, Jagadisha Mesta, 49, of Kodladi village, has been remanded to judicial custody until November 8.

Authorities confiscated 23 kilos of deer meat, a knife, and gunpowder during the operation. The case has been handed over to the Kundapura regional zone for further investigation.

Deputy Zonal Forest Officer Ningappa Wali, along with Gururaj S. Naik, Vinay, Sunil, forest beat guards Sunil, Ranjit, Gangadhar, and poaching prevention camp staff Prashant, Girish, Raveesh, and vehicle drivers Uday, Ganesh, and Ashok, participated in the operation.

    These people really dont understand why deers in forest and ökology..For them important is self make money with it.Now leave him in forest instead of deer.Leopards must too must be feeling hungry.Heavy punishment should be given to such persons.
