Kundapur: Pedestrian dies after being mowed down by car on NH 66

Kundapur, Oct 31: A tragic incident occurred on National Highway 66 when a pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car from behind.

The victim, identified as local resident Kuppa Poojari, succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital. The incident took place in front of Shekara Devaadiga's house in Thrasai village on Thursday, October 31.

Kuppa Poojari was walking along the highway towards Kundapura when the car, with registration number MH 01 DX 5245, hit him from behind.

Due to the severity of the accident, he sustained serious injuries and unfortunately passed away during transportation to the hospital with the help of locals.

A case has been registered at the Gangolli police station.
