Udupi: 69th Kannada Rajyotsava celebrated at GM Vidyaniketan Public School

Udupi, Nov 2: GM Vidyaniketan Public School was filled with the melodious tunes of Kannada songs and adorned with yellow and red decorations as the school celebrated the 69th Kannada Rajyotsava with great enthusiasm.

The school principal, George Kurian, unfurled the Kannada flag and emphasized the importance of reading Kannada literature, urging students to spread the Kannada language and culture everywhere. He highlighted the message of universal humanity from the renowned poet Kuvempu, encouraging everyone to embrace this ethos.

Prakashchandra Shetty, the president of the school management committee, extended his wishes for the Kannada Rajyotsava. He stressed the importance of understanding our rich cultural heritage related to land and water. In today's era of technology, he acknowledged the necessity of learning other languages alongside Kannada, while also emphasizing the need for a sense of pride and identity as Kannadigas.

The event was attended by dignitaries including Vishwanath Prabhu, Thyagish Chandra Shetty, teaching staff, support staff, and students.
