Death toll rises to four in Kasargod temple firecracker tragedy

Kasargod, Nov 4: The death toll in the Neeleshwar Virar Kav Daivastana firecracker tragedy has risen to four.

U Ratheesh (40) from Kinaavoor, K Biju (37), an auto driver from Kollampare, and Shobin Raj (19) from Chervathoor Turuthi died on Sunday. Sandeep (38) from Kinavoor succumbed to his injuries on Saturday. All the deceased passed away in a private hospital in Kozhikode. Shobin Raj was a mechanical engineer based in Chennai.

The incident, which occurred last Monday, resulted in injuries to 154 people, eight of whom sustained severe burn injuries. More than 90 individuals are still receiving medical treatment in various hospitals.

    This could have easily avoided if certain rules and precautions were followed.We say children dont play with fire.Same applies to grown up babies too.Always when fire crackers and loud explosives to be cracked ,see that no children or persons nearby or have a big distance to fire.Dont allow to play with it.And most important only experienced persons do that.Kindly see if such rules were followed or not now.Very very sad four lives were lost .Hope to no more in future.Police should make inquiries and compansate their home people.May their souls rest in peace.One more thing we need not pour oil to the fact of previous religious nonselling fact.
