Mangaluru: Srinivas University organizes information technology fest

Mangaluru, Nov 4: The students of Srinivas University Institute of Computer Science and Information Sciences, 3rd Year BCA (A5-batch) organised an information technology fest ‘Neo Renaissance 2024’ on October 21 in the presence of BCA HOD Dr P Sridhara Acharya, MCA HOD Prof Swathi Kumari, BSc HOD Jeetha Srinivas, class coordinator Prof Anusha S Rai A, faculty coordinator Shyamala B.

The guests were welcomed florally by a 3rd year student Savinaya V M(A5-batch). The guest of honours inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp followed by speech.

‘Neo Renaissance 2024’ an information technology fest had total 108 number of participants. There was total five events in Neo Renaissance. They are byte builders, web wonders, galactic managers, elite arena, flash flick. Students from 3rd years and 2nd years were allowed to participate in this event.

Each event had a faculty coordinator and a student event head who led the event. There were five rounds in each event and the elimination started from the second round. Each event gave students a new knowledge and experience. Byte builders was judged by Prof Sandhya, Srinivas University ICIS. Web wonders was judged by Prof Darshan, Srinivas University ICIS.

Galactic manager was judged by Prof Sagar Srinivas, assistant professor and head of department of MBA - logistics, institute of port, shipping and logistics management, Srinivas University. Flash flick was judged by Prof Jeetha Srinivas, BSc HOD, Srinivas university.

A valedictory event was held in the evening to award the winners and runners of each event with a certificate and a medal. The 3rd year BCA (A3-batch) won the overall championship award. The valedictory event ended with a vote of thanks speech by 3rd year BCA (A5-batch) student Sumanth, the guests of honours were thanked with a memento as a token of gratitude.
