Mangaluru: SUIET Mukka celebrates Karnataka Rajyotsava

Mangaluru, Nov 6: Karnataka Rajyotsava was celebrated with great enthusiasm on November 5, at Srinivas University Institute of Engineering and Technology (SUIET), Mukka campus.

The chief guest, Agari Raghavendra Rao, president of Agari Samsmarana Vedike and owner of Agari Enterprises, remarked that the opportunity to learn in a prestigious institution like Srinivas University is invaluable. He expressed his pleasure in celebrating Karnataka Rajyotsava in such a meaningful way and commended the university for instilling positive values among students.

Another guest, Srinath M P, president of the District Kannada Sahitya Parishad, emphasized that Rajyotsava is celebrated as a grand fair wherever Kannadigas reside worldwide. He expressed pride in the Kannada heritage and encouraged students to become future contributors to Kannada literature.

The event was presided over by the honourable pro chancellor of Srinivas University, Dr A Srinivasa Rao, who reminded the audience of the importance of preserving the Kannada language. He noted that the growing trend of non-native speakers learning Kannada in Bengaluru is a positive change.

The programme began with an introductory speech by SUIET dean, Dr Ramakrishna N Hegde. Srinivas University registrar Dr Anil Kumar and Srinivas University development registrar Dr Ajay Kumar were present. The event was coordinated by Prof Srinath Rao K welcome the gathering and student Vrishabendra Swami extended the vote of thanks.
