Mumbai: Bharat Co-op Bank Opens 40th Branch at Kalyan

Mumbai, Dec 9: The 40th branch of Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited, a multistate scheduled bank, promoted by metro-based Billavar Association, was inaugurated at Suchak Rugnalaya Building, Shivaji Circle, Kalyan, on Wednesday December 7.

The Bank’s former chairman and director Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated the 40th branch at Kalyan on Wednesday morning.

The Bank’s chairman Vasudev R Kotian inaugurated the banking services.

The Bank’s deputy chairman lawyer Rohini J Salian and director Pushpalata N Salian inaugurated the safe deposit locker facility.

Hotel Gurudev proprietor and Sharada Bhaskar Shetty Memorial Trust chairman Yekkar Nadyodiguttu Bhaskar S Shetty inaugurated the ATM kiosk.

Speaking on the occasion, Suvarna said that the Bank has the chief objective of earning the customers’ trust than creating history in the banking sphere in the country. “Accordingly, the bank surges ahead with the proven advice of financial experts.  The personal services to customers by Board of Directors and bank staff are the highlight of banking at Bharat Bank. The Bank is committed to creating a strong trust in the banking sphere,” added Suvarna.

Vasudev Kotian said that the Bank is providing banking services to ordinary account holders by responding to people’s expectations in the globalization era.  “The Bank is helping the bank’s customers realize their dreams,” added Kotian.

Rohini Salian said that the Bank has bagged the ‘Excellence in Banking Award’ this year also from the Maharashtra Urban Co-operative Bank Federation for surpassing the annual turnover of Rs 500 crore.

The Bank’s directors L V Amin, Raja V Salian, Jyoti K Suvarna, M B Sanil, Mohan G Poojary, Chandrashekar S Poojary, Shankar D Poojary and Bhaskar M Salian, as well as CEO Bhaskar K Amin were present on the occasion.

Vidhwan K Sadashiv Shanti performed various religious celebrations at the new branch.

Mahesh Kukyan and Manvinay M Kukyan were present during the religious celebrations.

Hundreds of people queued up to open their bank accounts as soon as the branch was inaugurated.  It’s the strong customer trust created by Bharat Bank that is reaping benefits.  The first day recorded deposits of over Rs 8 crore with the opening of more than 1,127 accounts.

Landlord Dr Kantilal D Suchak, Dr Geetha K Suchak, local social activists Anil Pandit and Sanjay Patil, former corporator Dayashekar Shetty, Dr Yogesh Acharya, Dr Y Acharya, entrepreneur Dharmapal U Devadiga, H L Mishra, Shekar Shettigar, Pavan D Devadiga, Vasu Shetty Bhiwandi, social activists Vasu Suvarna Bhiwandi, Dayanand Poojary Kalwa, Devaraj Poojary Dombivli, local leader Nanda A Shetty, well-wishers and new customers were present on the occasion.

The Bank’s chief general managers C R Mulky and Anil Kumar R Amin, deputy general manager Professor Shekar Poojary, assistant general managers Vivek S Shanbagh, Raghu Poojary, Suresh S Salian, Shobha Dayanand, and Nityanand D Kotian were also present.

Kallyan branch manager Ratnakar B Poojary welcomed the gathering. Deputy branch manager Satish Suvarna proposed the vote of thanks.

    R.N. Pujari, Manglore - Mumbai you are right even when Shri. Jaya C Suvarna took over as the president of the Billawar Association. The extended dream project of the president turned to a pleasant reality named as Billawa Bhavan a 6 storage building which stand tall gracefully in the Mumbai skyline (santacruz) i myself feel proud when i travel to manglore from mumbai - domestic airport seeing the grand building billawa bhavan, for me it feels myself standing in mangalore before the departure from mumbai.
