Kundapur: Rider Crushed by Truck After Bike Skids

Kundapur, Dec 9: A bike rider lost his life on the evening of Thursday December 8, when a truck loaded with goods crushed him. The incident occurred at Arehole Cross on national highway 66 in the taluk.

The victim has been identified as Thomas (40) from Jadkal near Kollur. He was riding his bike from his home to Byndoor, when the two-wheeler tripped and fell on the road after its wheels skidded. The rear wheels of a Kerala-based truck, which was carrying goods to Byndoor, crushed his head, killing Thomas instantly.

The truck driver escaped immediately after the accident. Byndoor policemen visited the spot and registered a case. Investigation is on.
