Bantwal, Dec 10: “An information workshop is extremely helpful in improving the co-ordination of Panchayat development officers and gram panchayat presidents, as well as in educating the rural masses about the Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Programme,” said TP president Shailaja P Shetty.

She was speaking after inaugurating information workshop on Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Programme held at Hotel Rangoli in association with ZP and TP.  It was organized for members of ZP, TP, and gram panchayats, taluk officers, panchayat development officers, and village secretaries.

Shetty urged the participants to be a role model by availing the full benefits of the programme.
TP vice-president Dinesh Amtoor, steering committee president Madhav Mave, gram panchayat presidents vice presidents federation chief Subaschandra Shetty, ZP deputy secretary Shivaram Gowda, CEO Vijay, ZP member M S Mohammed, Mamata Gatti, Nalini, Jayasree, and Girija were present on the dais. TP CEO K Vasantraj Shetty welcomed the gathering.  Ganapati Macchinnaya proposed the vote of thanks.  Manju Vittal compered the programme.
