Udupi, Nov 10: Girija Surgicals celebrated the grand opening of its fifth showroom in Manipal on Sunday, November 10, with exciting offers available until November 30.
The new showroom, located on the ground floor of the Manipal Commercial Complex opposite KMC Hospital, was inaugurated by T Ashok Pai, president of the Dr T M A Pai Foundation, Manipal, along with several distinguished guests.
The inauguration was attended by Prabhakar Poojary, CMC president Purushotham Shetty, Ujwal Developers’ Dinakar Shetty Herga, former Udupi CMC president Vijayalakshmi, CMC member Ammunje Ramesh Nayak, and others.
Addressing the gathering, T Ashok Pai emphasised the importance of short-term rental services for surgical equipment, which Girija Surgicals now provides. “Customers often struggle to rent surgical equipment for short periods, but businesses like Girija Surgicals are making this service accessible. I once had to buy such equipment from Bengaluru, but now it's available right here in Manipal, which is a commendable development,” Pai said.
He also spoke about how advanced medical equipment is easing patient care. “In many parts of the Western world, patients are discharged home soon after treatment, with care continued through advanced motorized equipment. It’s encouraging to see this model being embraced here as well,” he added.
Prabhakar Poojary, CMC president of Udupi, congratulated Girija Surgicals for fulfilling a critical need in Manipal. "With the growing number of old age homes in the area, a facility like this was much needed. I wish Girija Surgicals great success in the future," he said.
Dinakar Shetty Herga, former president of Udupi CMC, spoke about the importance of health and the role healthcare products play in maintaining it.
