IMJ Institute of Science and Commerce to organize 'Navonmesh 2024' state level fest on Nov 16

Udupi, Nov 14: “Forging ahead with a new vigour of innovation, the IMJ Institute of Science and Commerce Moodlekatte always devises a programme with a different mindset. On November 16, a state-level fest called 'Navonmesh 2024' was organized for PUC students. PUC colleges from different districts of the state are participating in the competition and the competition is a thrilling confluence of students' talent, creativity and intense competition,” said Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, brand building director of the institute.

Speaking at a press conference he said, “The entire competition is held in three categories (IT, commerce, and cultural) and consists of 13 different competitions. First and second prizes are given to the winning students in each competition and the best performing college team taking into account all the competitions is awarded with a permanent plaque 'Navonmesh 2024' with Rs 15,555 cash prize and the runner-up team with a permanent plaque of Rs 11,111 cash prize will be up for grabs."

“On November 16, at 10 am at the open stage in front of the college, the inauguration ceremony will be held as the chief guest of the programme will be the social worker and president of Janata Fishmill Kota, Anand C Kunder Suyog Shetty, chief executive officer, Niveus Solutions Udupi and renowned film artiste and Bharatanatyam practitioner Vidushi Manasi Sudhir will be the guests. Siddharth J Shetty, President of Moodlakatte Institute, will preside over the programme,” he added.

The entire competition is held in three categories like IT, commerce, and cultural) and consists of 13 different competitions. (IT and commerce quiz, collage, videography, error debugging, advertisement making, rangoli, treasure hunt, monologue, dance, singing, face painting and cultural competition. First and second prizes are given to the winning students in each competition and the best performing college team taking into account all the competitions is awarded with a permanent plaque 'Navonmesh 2024' with Rs 15,555 cash prize and the runner-up team with a permanent plaque of Rs 11,111 cash prize will be up for grabs. The winning team in cultural and other group competitions will get first and second permanent plaques. Along with this, the best presenter award will also be given in the cultural competition. All participating students will get a certificate. The entire competition will be full of variety and excitement and every participating student will be catered for. More than 20 colleges have already registered and more than 800 students have already registered. More than 1500 students are expected to visit Moodlakatte campus on that day.

Parameshwar A Hegde, Additional superintendent of police, Udupi district will be the chief guest for the valedictory ceremony, Vishnumurthy P, branch manager of HDFC Bank, Udupi District and Shruti Rachel D'Souza, HR Lead of Robosoft Technology Udupi, will be participating in the closing ceremony on the same day at 4 pm. The programme will be presided over by Siddharth J, president of Moodlakatte Institute. In the ceremony, Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, director of brand Building of IMJ, principal Dr Pratibha M Patel and vice-principal professor Jaysheel Kumar, fest coordinator and head of commerce, Archana Gadde, and student coordinators of the competition, Sinchan, Nitin and Hana Sheikh will be present. A prize distribution programme will be held for the winners on the same occasion.
