Kasargod: Udaya Higher Secondary School, celebrates Children’s Day

Kasargod, Nov 14: Udaya Higher Secondary School celebrated Children’s Day with a vibrant programme that paid tribute to the innocence, joy, and potential of young students. The event was graced by the chief guest, Dr Athira N, a distinguished alumna and dentist, who expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her teachers. Dr Athira added a special touch to the day by singing a melodious song, wishing the students happiness and success.

Principal Jerald Ivan Crasta highlighted the importance of children, describing them as “the pillars of our nation and the heart of our school” and encouraging them to cherish and uphold the values of innocence. Campus director Fr Santhosh D’Souza emphasized generosity as a key value to be instilled in every child, while guest teacher Vinitha D’Souza inspired students with the words, “Today’s reader is tomorrow’s leader,” urging them to seize opportunities to grow.

The celebration included a spirited Nadanpattu performance by Sanil and a heartfelt wishing song sung by the teachers, followed by a beautiful solo song from Shwetha K. Students from grades 1, 2, 3, and high school performed captivating dances, and a creative mime show brought laughter and reflection.

Nidhi Shruthi and Ashalatha coordinated the event as MCs. Akshatha Rai gave a warm welcome address, and Seetha concluded the program with a vote of thanks, appreciating everyone’s contributions to making Children’s Day memorable.

The day celebrated the energy and aspirations of the children, reminding all of their bright potential and the importance of nurturing it for a brighter future.
