Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara School celebrates annual day with grandeur

Mangaluru, Nov 17: The Annual Day celebrations of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara School, Ashoknagar, were held with grandeur on November 15, featuring separate events for the primary section in the morning and the high school section in the evening.

The morning session was graced by chief guest Munita Vegas, an accomplished music instructor. In her insightful address, she highlighted the shared responsibility of teachers and parents in ensuring the holistic development of children. She urged parents to redirect their children’s focus from social media and foster a love for reading. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp and a captivating Kunitha Bhajane performance, setting an auspicious tone for the event.

The welcome address was delivered by the school’s academic coordinator Usha Hegde, followed by the presentation of the annual report by principal Joy Jeevan Rai. In her presidential address, the principal emphasised that parents and teachers are two inseparable pillars in a child’s life, playing vital roles in shaping them into responsible citizens and contributing meaningfully to society.

The evening programme for high school students featured Y Krishnaprasad Adappa, director of Accolades Academy, as the chief guest. The event also witnessed the presence of the school’s correspondent Shrutha Jithesh. Students compered the program, showcasing their confidence and eloquence.

The primary section’s celebrations revolved around the theme “A Stroll through the Wonderland,” taking the audience on a vibrant journey across diverse global cultures.

Meanwhile, the high school section’s event, titled “INDIA - A Symphony of Cultures,” paid a rich tribute to India’s cultural heritage. Both themes were brought to life through an array of dazzling performances, with students demonstrating exceptional talent and enthusiasm.

Parents, teachers, and staff gathered in large numbers, offering their wholehearted support and appreciation, making the annual day a memorable and resounding success.
