Puttur: St Philomena College secures fourth place in MU inter-collegiate swimming championship

Puttur, Nov 20: St Philomena College, Autonomous achieved a fourth place in the Mangalore University inter-collegiate swimming competition held at the Emmekere Swimming Pool, Mangaluru recently.

Tanveer Jerome Pinto made waves by clinching bronze medals in the 1500m freestyle, 200m freestyle, and 100m backstroke events. Adding to the medal tally of the college, Shishil secured a bronze in the 400m freestyle and 100m freestyle, alongside an impressive silver in the 200m backstroke.

Principal Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro extended heartfelt congratulations to the athletes, commending their dedication and perseverance. Dr Elias Pinto, the director of physical education, wished them well and encouraged the students to strive for greater heights in the future.
