Mangaluru, Nov 20: The World Konkani Centre, dedicated to promoting Konkani language and culture, has announced its board of trustees for the term 2024-2027.
Nandagopal Shenoy has been elected as the president of the board. The vice presidents are William D’Souza, Kiran Budkuley, and Ramesh D Nayak Maira. B R Bhat will serve as the treasurer, while Dr Kasturi Mohan Pai has been appointed as secretary. Narayan Naik will take on the role of joint secretary.
Other members of the board include Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy, Gilbert D’Souza, Gokulanath Prabhu, K B Kharvi, Melvyn Rodrigues, Muralidhar Prabhu, Shakuntala R Kini, and Vatika Pai. Newly elected trustees Shivashankar Nayak and Prashant Shet have also joined the board.
P Dayananda Pai will continue to serve as the chairman of the trust.
The new board is set to steer the institution forward with a focus on preserving and promoting Konkani culture and language globally.
