Mangaluru: Yenepoya School and PU College celebrates Founder's Day

Mangaluru, Nov 21: The Yenepoya School and Yenepoya PU College celebrated Founder's Day at YIASCM, Kulur, paying tribute to their visionary founder, late Al-Haj Yenepoya Moideen Kunhi. The event began with a solemn prayer and the school anthem.

Anthony Joseph, the associate director, warmly welcomed everyone and kicked off the proceedings. The keynote address was delivered by Vittaldas Leeladhar, former deputy governor of the RBI, who spoke about the founder's transformative vision and encouraged students to become the architects of their own innovative futures.

On this special day, the institution recognized the dedicated efforts of teachers who make a positive impact on society. A panel of experts reviewed applications and awarded the prestigious Yenepoya Teacher Award 2024 to deserving candidates: Shreekantha M, headmaster of GPUC School, Maninalkuru, and Dakshayanamma S, headmistress of Government Higher Primary School, Nalyapadauv, in the high school and primary school categories, respectively.

Dr Yenepoya Abdullah Kunhi, chancellor of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), delivered an inspiring presidential address, motivating the audience to strive for excellence in education.

The event was graced by the presence of Javeed Yenepoya, director of the Yenepoya group; Farhaad Yenepoya, pro chancellor of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University); Mishria Javeed director of operations & academics at The Yenepoya School & PU College and Ramachandra Shetty, director of the Yenepoya Group.

Uzwal Menezes, principal of Yenepoya PU College, concluded the event with a vote of thanks, followed by the national anthem. The ceremony was a resounding success.
