Mangaluru: St Theresa's School shines at Mini Olympic Games 2024

Mangaluru, Nov 21: Cahill Moses D’Silva and Rishit S Poojary, proud students of class VII from St Theresa's School, Bendur, brought laurels to their alma mater by securing the second place in table tennis at the mini Olympic Games 2024. The prestigious event was held at the Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru, under the aegis of the Karnataka Olympic Association.

The young sports stars displayed exceptional skill and teamwork in the highly competitive tournament, showcasing the sporting spirit fostered at St Theresa's School, Bendur, the only CISCE-affiliated school in Mangaluru.

Their remarkable achievement was recognized and celebrated during a grand felicitation ceremony. The duo was honoured by prominent dignitaries, including Dr G Parameshwara, the Home Minister of Karnataka; Madhu Bangarappa, minister of primary & secondary education and Sakala of Karnataka; Dr M C Sudhakar, minister for higher education; and Dr K Govindaraj, MLC, political secretary to the Honourable chief minister, president of FIBA Asia, and president of the Karnataka Olympic Association.

The management, staff, and students of St Theresa's School, Bendur, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the young champions, whose success continues to inspire their peers to excel both in academics and extracurricular activities.
