Mangaluru, Nov 22: The Annual Day celebration of St Ann's PU College was held on November 20 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, parents, alumni, and well-wishers, creating a vibrant and memorable evening.

The chief guest for the occasion was Jeeth Roche, an eminent environmentalist and activist. The guests of honour, Sr Sudeepa, Sr Maria Smitha, Sr Rose Agnes, Sr Juliane added prestige to the event with their gracious presence.

The chief guest and the dignitaries were welcomed with a guard of honour and were escorted to the venue with great reverence.

The formal programme began on a spiritual note with a prayer, invoking divine blessings for the success of the event.

The gathering was welcomed by a classical dance followed by the principal's welcome address.

The prize distribution segment honored the academic achievers and sports stars of the college, recognizing their dedication and accomplishments.

In an inspiring speech, the chief guest Roche, emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and youth empowerment. The college expressed its gratitude by felicitating the chief guest and presenting a token of appreciation.

The cultural programme was a vibrant display of creativity and talent, emphasizing the diverse ethos of the college:

The programme began with a Dance Drama on Nature, showcasing the five elements of nature, their pristine state, and the need for conservation. Next was the garba dance, a lively and colourful celebration of tradition and festivity. This was followed by a unique segment ‘Unity in Diversity’- A performance reflecting India’s cultural harmony. The Achievements and activities of the past two years of the college were presented in the college report.

A blend of mime act and Bollywood dance on Shakespeare’s Seven Ages of Man was presented. Followed by fusion dance, a blend of classical and contemporary styles, reflecting the dynamism of youth.

An entertainment dance with high-energy performance left the audience enthralled.

The cultural programme concluded with the College Anthem, a soulful rendition that united everyone in a spirit of pride and belonging.

The Annual Day 2024 was a grand success, leaving everyone with cherished memories and a renewed sense of community. It was a testament to the holistic education imparted at St Ann's PU College, nurturing excellence, values, and talents.

The formal programme was compered by Jolita Lobo and the vote of thanks was proposed by Helvin Menezes. The anchors for the cultural programme were Yaseera, Aaron, Ruhan and Hida.
